I went live from Kyiv on August 19, 2026, right at midnight, moments after finishing a broadcast with Tom Mutch, as several ballistic missiles hit the city one after another. I counted at least seven in the first wave, with no interceptions. When you hear a boom on this stream, it is an impact.
It was also the night I learned my friend Dutchie, a regular in our chats and YouTube comments, was killed delivering aid in Ukraine. He was supposed to give me a hug in two weeks.
Between waves I talk about who blocked air defense funding in Washington, what I could see from my window (missiles in a slow arc, smoke across the river), how Kyiv residents find shelters, and why this channel is news, not the Travel Channel.
